Board of Directors
The Board of Directors holds responsibility for the overall governance of ALOWA and passes all resolutions with regard to new initiatives undertaken by ALOWA personnel and its members. The Board meets on a regular basis to evaluate, review, and provide direction to the Executive Director, national and Regional Offices.
ALOWA's Board of Directors consists of 21 members:- One (1) Executive Director- Eight (8) regional representatives- Four (4) regional Coordinators- Four (4) elders- Four (4) regional youth representatives
Membership
ALOWA membership is comprised of Womens' groups and individuals including politicians, teachers, social workers, lawyers, physicians, students, and health care professionals. ALOWA is a multispecialty organization dedicated to advancing women in governance and improving womens' Rights.
